any suggestions for game engine bottlenecks? (aka random freezes)

computer parts in question:
gtx570
core-i7 2600
4GB memory
seagate HDD

i have 89-120ping. computer in general is about 4-5yrs old. maybe built 2yrs after aion came out?

problem:
game locks-up, freezes for 5-8s in situations such as world/instance pvp or random times such as solo linkgate or EB or IS or DD. after the initial 5-8 second freeze, a bottleneck occurs where all the sound/animations get played out in 1 second. it always happens during the first pvp encounters w/ opposing factions in ID and open world.

sometimes when i'm moving forward, it locks up for 3 seconds and my character gets moved 10m back. it's definately not a lag issue because my ping is low. it's been causing issues in pvp where 5-8 seconds means a lot especially in ID.

the problem started occuring a LOT more after 4.9 came out. i've been told nvidia graphics cards are no longer compatible w/ aion's engine and nvidia doesn't really care about it anymore. i've also been told, aion is more graphics intensive now w/ the update and my computer is 4yrs old and can't handle it. what's the case?

my game does *not* lock up playing FF14 (highest settings), which is a more graphics intensive game. which leads me to believe it's incompatibility between nvidia and aion's engine. any insights on a cheap way to fix this?

Fire Gleeful Ladder replied to xform and flight time

Greetings, Daeva, We understand your frustration and appreciate you reaching out to the community for help. Not receiving a verification email is a common issue that many players have encountered across various games. We’ve checked the forums and have a few potential fixes you can try. Hopefully, one of these will help you get into the game!

Possible Fixes for Verification Email Issue

Check Your Email Folders: This may seem obvious, but it's the most common solution. Please check your spam, junk, and other filtered folders. Sometimes, a legitimate email can be mistakenly flagged and sent there. Add Aion to Your Whitelist: To prevent future emails from being blocked, add the official Aion email address (often something like `noreply@aiononline.com` or an equivalent from NCSoft/Gameforge) to your email account's contact list or whitelist. This tells your email provider that you trust the sender. Try a Different Email Provider: Some email providers, particularly those like Hotmail, Outlook, or Live, are known to be overly aggressive with their spam filters. If you used one of these, consider creating a new account with a different provider, such as Gmail, and try the registration process again. Many players report better success with services like Gmail. Wait for the Email: Depending on server load and other factors, there can sometimes be a significant delay in receiving the verification email. In some cases, it may take several hours or even a full day to arrive. If you've just created your account, we recommend waiting a while longer before assuming it's a bug. Contact Aion Support Directly: If none of the above steps work, the best course of action is to contact the official Aion support team. They have the tools to manually verify your account or provide a direct solution. You can typically find a link to their support portal on the official game website. They will likely ask for your account name and the email address you used. We hope this information helps, and we look forward to seeing you in Atreia soon! Feel free to update us if you find a solution that works for you, as it may help other players with the same problem. Best regards, The Forum Moderator Team
